Consultative Selling: A Workshop to Unlock Next-level Sales Superpower

“I Know How to Build. But I Don’t Know How to Sell.”

I keep hearing this from so many founder friends, especially those who come from product, tech, or design backgrounds.

And I get it.

Building something great is one thing.

However, taking it to market, understanding what makes people say yes, and doing it in a way that feels natural, that’s a whole different skill set.

That’s why I promised to organize a session on Consultative Selling

Something practical, not theoretical. Focused on real business conversations, not just salesy tactics.

And finally, yesterday, we made it happen.

A Close-Door Workshop With Open Conversations

We hosted a private, invitation-only workshop for JCI Dhaka Founders. Around 15 of us gathered for a five-hour deep dive!

The structure was simple but powerful:

  • We started with stories: our own wins and fails in selling.
  • Then moved into frameworks that have worked across industries.
  • We did role plays to practice what we were learning.
  • And ended with an open Q&A that turned into a group therapy session (in the best way possible).

Selling Isn’t About Pushing, It’s About Understanding

One thing we kept coming back to: you don’t need to “sell” the way you think you do.

If you understand your customer, ask the right questions, and solve the real problem, the selling happens naturally.

This is the heart of consultative selling:
👉 Less pitching.
👉 More listening.
👉 Real partnerships over transactions.

What’s Next?

Honestly, this felt like the start of something bigger.

There’s a real hunger in the community for practical learning, especially in areas like sales, communication, leadership, and all the soft skills that drive results.

So yes, more sessions are coming. Maybe in smaller groups. Maybe open to more people. But always practical!

Grateful for the People Who Made It Happen

Huge thanks to everyone who joined. Your energy made this session what it was.

And as always, big love to my Bizcope team for handling all the behind-the-scenes stuff.

Let’s keep building. Let’s keep learning.

And let’s keep sharing what works and what doesn’t!
